Alpha Sigma Tau Foundation is pleased to offer exciting incentives to encourage and recognize participation by collegiate chapters in Founders Day of Giving. The Chapter Challenge brings friendly competition to the day while supporting our mission of funding initiatives that impact the lives of members of Alpha Sigma Tau.
1. Chapter with Highest Total Amount Contributed:
The collegiate chapter with the highest total dollar amount given through their link on the Chapter Challenge page November 2-3 will receive a one-time $3,000 academic scholarship to benefit a collegiate chapter Sister in the 2018-2019 scholarship cycle.
Additionally, the following awards will be distributed for the chapters with the 2nd and 3rd highest total amounts contributed:
First Runner-Up: One-time $2,000 academic scholarship to benefit a collegiate chapter Sister in the 2018-2019 scholarship cycle.
Second Runner-Up: One-time $1,000 academic scholarship to benefit a collegiate chapter Sister in the 2018-2019 scholarship cycle.
All donations made through the chapter’s “Chapter Challenge” link will count towards the total, including, but not limited to, gifts made by collegiate and alumnae members, professors or university staff, family, and friends.
Chapters may track their progress for the highest total amount contributed using the Leaderboard on the Founders Day of Giving website. Should there be a tie among two or more chapters at the conclusion of the event, the chapter with the highest total number of donors to the challenge will receive preference.
2. Chapter with Highest Participation Percentage in 1899 Society for Collegiate Giving:
At the close of the Founders Day of Giving event on November 3, the collegiate chapter with the highest participation rate (percentage) in the 1899 Society for Collegiate Giving for the 2017 calendar year will receive a one-time $1,000 academic scholarship to benefit a collegiate chapter Sister in the 2018-2019 scholarship cycle.
Using a percentage, chapters of all sizes have an equal shot at receiving this benefit! Participation in the 1899 Society in advance of Founders Day of Giving will count toward the total percentage.
The results of this challenge will not be represented on the electronic Leaderboard, but updates will be provided throughout the day. Should there be a tie among two or more chapters, those chapters will be put into a drawing to determine a winner.
The Fine Print:
The recipients of the scholarships will be selected by the National Scholarship Committee, but only collegiate Sisters of the benefitting chapters will be considered. Imagine the impact this could have for one of your Sisters!
To ensure your gift helps your preferred active collegiate chapter progress in the challenge, make your donation through the "Chapter Challenge" button at the bottom of the home screen or through the Chapter Challenge Event. All gifts made through the Chapter Challenge support the Anchor Fund for Annual Giving.
Collegiate chapter participation percentage will be calculated based on the collegiate chapter roster in Officer Portal as of November 1, 2017.
Only active collegiate chapters are listed as part of the Chapter Challenge.
